ILLEGAL APPREHENSIONS | PART ONE WITH BRIGITTE GRATL

To apprehend a child, by law, the worker for the Children’s Aid Society requires a warrant – though they rarely get one. Criminal and Family lawyer Brigitte Gratl discusses how and why the CAS apprehends children illegally, and gets away with it in court.

*Are you telling me that CAS illegally apprehended my child? I am not a fan or would I ever defend CAS. They took my daughter from me because she is a constant run away but since she has been in foster care they are not doing a thing differently or have helped her in any way shape or form.

They are now telling the foster Mom not to drive her anywhere or pick up my daughter. What safety plan is in place here?  It is impossible to explain all the issues but my daughter is now on probation and has strict conditions to follow. If she does not follow her curfew she will be breaching and if CAS is setting her up to fail this will be unacceptable and another conflict to add to the list.

I am prepared to fight to get my daughter back in my care.

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration
